Tidify Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

Tidify turns a photo of a room into a tidying plan. To do that, it sends your photo to a server. This page explains exactly what is sent, who processes it, and what we keep.

Who we are

Tidify is published by CodeCraft. For any privacy question or request, contact yodagamaheshan@gmail.com.

What we collect

DataWhyWhere it goes
Photos you take of your spaces To generate your task plan and the optional "after" preview image Google Firebase Cloud Storage, then Google's Gemini model via Firebase
An anonymous user identifier To keep your uploads separate from other people's Firebase Authentication
Space type, tidying-level preference, language Sent with the photo so the plan fits the room Our generateScan Cloud Function

The anonymous identifier is created by Firebase on first launch. It is not your name, your email, or your Apple Account. We do not ask you to create an account, and we never receive your Apple ID.

What stays on your device

What we do not do

Who processes your data

We use Google Firebase as our infrastructure provider — specifically Authentication, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and App Check — and Google's Gemini models, accessed through Firebase, to generate plans and preview images. Google processes this data on our behalf as our service provider. See Firebase's privacy documentation.

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; we only learn whether a subscription is currently active.

How long we keep photos

Photos you scan are uploaded to Cloud Storage and are currently retained there under your anonymous identifier. We do not delete them automatically. If you want your uploaded photos removed, email yodagamaheshan@gmail.com and we will delete them.

Deleting a space inside the app removes it from your device, but does not by itself remove a photo already uploaded for scanning — use the email above for that.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it, by emailing yodagamaheshan@gmail.com. Because Tidify accounts are anonymous, we may need the identifier shown in the app's settings to locate your data. If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with equivalent law, these rights are yours under that law and we honour them regardless of where you live.

You can also stop all collection at any time by deleting the app, which removes the local database and the anonymous identifier from your device.

Children

Tidify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us a photo, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and change the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
